Advantage and Disadvantage of Internet

Internet is probably one of the greatest inventions of the century. Before we have to go to the library to do our research work but now, all we have to do is go to Google and do our research. We can do many things with the internet; we can shop from eBay, chat with your friends in Facebook or Skype, watch videos in YouTube, earn money from blogging, and many more!
Internet is really useful and has a lot of advantages, but there are also some disadvantages of using it. Check out this list of advantages and disadvantages of the internet.

Advantages of Internet are  Easy and cheap communication Communicating with your friends and loved ones has been easy through e-mail and social communication sites like Facebook and MySpace. You don’t have to pay even a single cent just to chat with them because these services are free of charge! Send small or big files with others easily. If you have to send a file, for example, a video to your friend who’s living in other country, it isn’t practical nowadays to send him a package with the video cd. Instead, you can send him the video from your e-mail, or upload it in YouTube or other video sharing sites.

Besides that , Loads of information. As I have mentioned earlier, internet has a lot of information that is very essential for the students so they don’t have to buy books or go to the library anymore. Search engines like Google and Yahoo! are always available when you need them. Entertainment. Entertainment is one of the most popular reasons why many people prefer to surf the internet. There are a lot of games to play, videos to watch, and etc. Services. Internet is making our life a lot easier by offering different services like online banking, online booking, hotel reservations, online shopping, and many more. Earn money. Aside from entertainment, internet also lets you earn money while at the same time , enjoying what you’re doing! Like me, I’m a blogger and I love what I’m doing, and at the same time , I earn money.  Promote your product. Internet is one of the best and cheapest ways to promote your business or product. Starting from 10$, you can already have your own website and start reaching your potential customers. You can also use Multiply or Blogger if you don’t want to spend money for your website.

Disadvantages of Internet are virus threat. Most of the viruses came from the internet so be very careful when visiting or downloading from a site. If you are using Firefox, you can install Web Of Trust add-on so you can get warnings about online scams, sites with adult content, and spam. With this, you can help keep your computer safe from online threats like spyware, adware, and viruses. Theft of Personal Information. If you use the internet, there is a great risk of stealing your personal information such as name, address, credit card no ,  by those culprits. Spamming. I guess I don’t have to explain this anymore, you’re already familiar with this.Pornography. This is probably the worst disadvantage of the internet especially for the parents who have kids.

Facebook is the largest sosial phenomenon that has swept over the internet world. In some forms it turns into an addiction. Originally created by Mark Zuckerburg , this legal addiction is taking the lives of the most civillized people around the world. The Goverment tells us that our time wasted internet addictions are costing billions of dollars every year. Nowadays , people are brilliant in ICT.

Facebook , Youtube , Twitter , Wikipedia and Myspace the list is endless. Millions of us are addicted. There are currently more than 400 millions active users , fifty percent of these long on any given day. Statistics show that about thirty - five million people update their statuses everyday and sixty million status updates posted. You know those precious moments that you take pictures of and put them of Facebook ? Yeah , there are about three billions pictures like that uploaded to the site each month.

People who are addicted on Facebook will may losing sleep over Facebook when using Fcaebook becomes a compulsion and you spend entired night logged on the site , causing you to become tired the next day. If you are in school you will be sleep in the class. Besides that , it will be impairs our vocabulary. In my opinion , Facebook is impairs secrch word such as 'you , your , you're and thanks '  are commonly spelled like 'u , ur and thx '. People really too lazy to spell out the whole word.

Besides , people like wasting their time on Facebook. They spend more than two hours a day on Facebook. The average person needs to spend only an hour on the site. This is below the one hour daily usage of the youngsters we surveyed. People also like playing online game on Facebook. Other than that , Facebook can fight with each other. This is because when people update wrong status about their friend or family so , the status that you update cannot looked to obvious to that person. Even when you are angry or fight with them.

People who addicted with Facebook you should reduce it.Facebook is nothing.

Essay : Smoking

Nowdays, many teenagers and people like to smoke. Is they happy what are they doing ? For them maybe yes , but it excatly not because it will damage our body and we can death. Student in age 15 years old start to smoke . Have you read newspaper ? At school , student like playing truancy because they want to smoke. Parents didn't know that their children smoke at school. We cannot 100% blame to them because they didn't know what happen at school. Student must be friend with good friends.

There are many reasons why teenagers like smoking. They want to try something new and new activities. They also want to look mature in front of their friends. Nowdays , many teenagers more afraid with their friends than their parents. Have students that have pressure from home about family , then they want to disappear the pressure with smoking. Maybe has parents do not care about their children.

We cannot always happy in our life like people that smoking. Maybe they happy with their life. In happiness has sadness like them. They happy that they are smoking but their body sad because sick. Smokers can get many diseases such as cancer. This is because cigarette smoke contains many toxic substances like carbon monoxide , nicotine , and carcinogens that not only cause irreparable damage to the smoker but , also to those around them who inhale the smoke. If they not quit from smoking , long - time smokers often develop cancers of the mouth , larynx and lungs.

If you want to know that peoples smoking or not , they have physical effects. They have bad breath. If you speak with them , you can smell their breath. Besides that , they reek of stale smoke. If you speak with them , you will faint. Furthermore , you can see they has yellowish stain on fingers and teeth like people do not brush their teeth. Facial wrinkles appear at an early age like grandfather.

Suggestion for those who want to stop smoking is reduce cigarette slowly for day to day. Smokers must set a date to quit. smokers must slowly stop smoking step by step. The conclusion is all of the smoker in the world must stop smoking from now. Smoking not only endangers the smoker himself but also those who inhale secondary smoke exhaled by smokers.
